Hearing Loss Problems
Do you find yourself constantly having to adjust the volume on your television or radio? Are you
frequently asking people to repeat their comments to you? Is the volume button on your telephone turned to
the maximum setting?
If this sounds like you, there is a chance that you are experiencing hearing loss problems. It is amazing
just how many people refuse to acknowledge that their hearing is not what it used to be. They seem to take it as a
form of aging.
Hearing loss problems can be caused by many different reasons. My own father has hearing loss problems caused by
Swimmers Ear, from the time when he was a boy, Gunners Ear, from his time in the military services and finally old
age, now that he is in his nineties.
There is no reason to feel embarrassed or humiliated about not hearing as well as we once did.
Maybe your hearing is just fine, but you suspect that there might be a problem with your child. You have
received reports from your son's teacher about him not paying attention in class. Or maybe you've been told
that your child has behavioral problems.
This type of report from a teacher usually indicates another, more serious, problem. The reason could have
something to do with hearing loss problems.
This is why a hearing test is often one of the first recommendations for a child with behavioral problems. It
could very well be that the child simply doesn't hear instructions.
